1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Our 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held July 9, 1999 at Brookside Country Club in Pasadena, CA. With the support of family and friends we raised a total of over $60,000 in cash & prizes. From this a donation was made to the fine doctors at USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Our tournament was a sell out with 152 golfers in attendance.
Golfers were treated to a catered Carne Asada lunch donated by Dolores Canning Co., Inc. On course refreshments were donated by Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Miller Brewing and Tropicana Fruit juices.

Mariachis played as our golfers came off the course to begin cocktail hour. During this time our guests bid on items in our sports memorabilia silent auction. Prior to dinner, tournament awards and raffle prizes were handed out.

During dinner hour, Dr. Agustin Garcia, Augie's doctor from USC/Norris spoke about the current developments in Pancreatic Cancer research at USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Also, a representative from Supervisor Mike Antonovich's office presented us with a proclamation recognizing our charity.

Afterwards, guests enjoyed the sounds of our live band!
